We Are Proud Of Our History.

Junior and Margie Hall founded Hall Oil in 1959. After selling the family farm, they purchased a general merchandise store in Walnut Cove, NC. Because of the high demand for fuel in their rural community, the Halls added fuel oil delivery to the business and have been serving the heating needs of the northern Piedmont area ever since.

In 1988, the Hall family made the decision to branch out into the propane market. Clyde and Brenda Hall leveraged everything they had to buy one propane truck, one large tank, customer tanks and equipment to offer propane to their client base. With the help of their sons Greg, Anthony and Jeremy, business flourished and expanded.

  • 1959

    Junior & Margie Hall open Hall Oil

  • 1988

    Clyde & Brenda Hall start offering propane and incorporated the business

  • 2000

    Hall opens the Clemmons branch to streamline operations and offer service to surrounding counties

  • 2008

    Hall purchases Twin County Energy in Galax, VA, to provide service to southwestern VA clients

  • 2009

    Hall builds our Stuart office to expand service further into southern VA counties

  • 2018

    Shelton Heating & Air, LLC is purchased, and Hall begins offering experienced HVAC service in southern VA from our Stuart, VA location

  • 2022

    Hall opens a Rocky Mount, VA branch to expand our services into more of Virginia.
